A good friend gifted me an acrylic box, used previously to house an architectural model, and it seemed the perfect housing for a slow curving shape, like those of the California foothills, just to the north of the Golden Gate Bridge. I used clear fishing line to suspend lengths of poplar, the high tension of the line reminding me of all the wires criss-crossing our landscape. This was further echoed in the directional and antenna-like drawing at the base.
