Light Grid
A grid looks simple enough, but building one is an interesting problem. There are the obvious challenges—keeping lines from wandering over a large surface, and mixing color so that it's discernible from medium, but only barely, for example. However, the most interesting question is will it work as a painting? The only way I can try to answer is to make one and look.
